    Segment Four: Review of DASA and the Reporting Requirements

    This section will provide an overview of The New York State Law: Dignity for All Students Act, as well as the reporting requirements. After viewing didactic material and video-based stories and completing reflection prompts, Participants will

    • Review the components of the law
    • Increase their understanding as to the purpose of the Dignity Act and learn who is protected under this law
    • Understand the importance of the terminology and how it can assist with intervention strategies
    • Understand the reporting requirements for educators as it relates to the identification of bullying, harassment, and discrimination
    • Learn the timelines and procedures for reporting verbally and in writing.
    • Understand definitions and role delineation in the investigation and reporting process.
